# Aznabee

> Aznabee (aznabee.com) is a free random video chat website and Android app for adults (18+). It matches you with a stranger for a live 1:1 video call with no account, no email, and no payment. Duo Mode lets you bring a friend into the call. The name comes from "ajnabee", the Hindi/Urdu word for stranger.

## Key facts

- Price: free. There is no paid tier; matching, Duo Mode, and AR lenses cost nothing.
- Account: not required to chat. Optional sign-in exists only for the Creator Program.
- Age: 18+ only. A click-through age confirmation runs before the first chat.
- Calls: 1:1 video calls on a 10-minute timer. When the timer ends, or either person skips, you are matched with someone new.
- Duo Mode: one person creates a room and shares a 6-character code; once the friend joins, the pair is matched with one stranger for a three-person call.
- In-call text chat: yes, alongside video.
- Camera and mic: you can join with your camera off and mute or turn off your camera at any time.
- AR lenses: Snap Camera Kit lenses in desktop browsers and the Android app. Not available in mobile browsers.
- Platforms: any current browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari) on desktop, Android, and iOS; Android app on Google Play (package com.aznabee.app).
- Scale: a small, growing platform with thousands of users, not millions. Quiet hours can mean a short wait for a match.

## What Aznabee does not have

- No gender filter and no country filter, free or paid. Everyone is matched from the same random queue.
- No interest tags and no text-only chat mode.
- No iOS app (iPhone users can use the website).

## Safety and moderation

- On-device AI moderation: a model running in the user's browser checks one frame of outgoing video every 1.5 seconds for nudity.
- If a frame is flagged, the other person sees a black screen instead of that video until the feed is clean again. Audio is not affected.
- Repeated high-confidence detections lead to the device being blocked from matching. Blocked users can request a review by email through the appeal screen.
- Every call has Skip and Report buttons. A report captures a single frame of the reported person's video for review and immediately moves the reporter to a new match.
- Moderation cannot catch everything. Users should not share personal details with strangers and should skip any chat that feels wrong.

## How the connection works

- Calls use WebRTC. Video and audio are encrypted with DTLS-SRTP and travel peer-to-peer when the network allows.
- When a direct path is blocked (strict corporate or mobile networks), media is relayed through a TURN server, still encrypted.
- A signaling server introduces the two browsers and handles matching; it does not carry the call's audio or video.
- Calls are not recorded by Aznabee. A single frame is stored only when moderation flags video or a user files a report. Approved creators in the Creator Program can record their own live sessions on desktop; the other person sees a recording notice.

## How Aznabee compares

- Omegle: shut down in November 2023. Aznabee keeps the no-account match-and-skip format and adds Duo Mode, AR lenses, on-device moderation, and an Android app.
- OmeTV: sells VIP subscriptions that unlock gender and country filters. Aznabee has no paid tier and no filters.
- Emerald Chat: uses a karma/reputation system and paid Gold tier. Aznabee has neither.
- Chatroulette: has moved toward identity checks. Aznabee requires no account or selfie.
- Omoggle: a 1v1 face-rating game where AI scores strangers' faces. Aznabee is conversation only, with no scoring.
